Staff a Quest
Weekend
Staff an All Queens Quest Weekend - Invite Only. Must be referred by current Queen.
If you are someone who believes in healing, community care, and the power of people coming together to support one another, we want to invite you into something meaningful.
All Queens is preparing for our upcoming Quest Weekend, a healing-centered gathering rooted in the healing justice movement for especially women and gender-expansive people impacted by incarceration
And we are inviting a small group of thoughtful, grounded people to help us hold it.
Why This Matters
Quest Weekend is designed to support women and gender-expansive people in reconnecting with themselves, reflecting on their journeys, and being seen by others.
As a volunteer, you are helping to create the conditions where people can feel safe enough to face their deep traumas, begin the work of healing, all while building a community of Queens.
This Is the Beginning of a Longer Journey
For many people, participating in Quest is just the beginning of their relationship with All Queens.
We are building a community rooted in healing justice, leadership, and collective care. Many volunteers who begin with Quest continue supporting All Queens through circles, gatherings, and future leadership opportunities.
So if you feel called to this work, we hope you’ll see this as more than a weekend. It is an opportunity to grow alongside a community that is committed to healing and liberation.
Who This Invitation Is For
We are especially calling women and gender-expansive people to serve as staff during this weekend. This is invite only. You must be referred by current member of All Queens.
You might feel aligned with this if you have some experience holding space for others. That could look like being a:
Teacher
Therapist
Trauma-informed practitioner
Community organizer
Healer
Facilitator
Coach
Advocate
Community leader
There is no single path that leads someone here. What matters most is that you are able to show up compassionate, and respectful of the healing process of others.
It is also helpful if you have:
Some connection to or experience with the justice system
Familiarity with circle practice
Some understanding of transformative justice principles
But most importantly, we are looking for people who believe in the power of community care.
A Shared Commitment to All Queens Values
Everyone who volunteers with All Queens commits to upholding our shared values:
Healing
Community care
Accountability
Cultural humility
Collective liberation
These values guide how we show up for participants and for one another.
What the Commitment Looks Like
If you join the Quest volunteer team, there are two things we ask you to commit to.
Pre-Quest Training hybrid
This time helps our volunteer team get grounded in the purpose of Quest, the structure of the weekend, and how we hold space together. There will be a virtual training scheduled for Sunday, April 19th at at 5pm and an in-person training the morning from 9am-4pm on May 1st at the Hurley House.
Quest Weekend May 1–3 in the Catskills, NY
Volunteers arrive May 1st or the night before so we can prepare together and move into the weekend aligned as a team.
Staff arrive 9am May 1st and depart May 3rd by 2:30pm.
Transportation will be arranged.
How We Care for Our Volunteers
At All Queens, we believe the people who hold space for others should also be cared for.
You are part of the community we are building.
To support that, meals and transportation support will be provided during the Quest Weekend so volunteers can focus on being present in the work.

If this Speaks to you
If something in this invitation resonates with you, we would genuinely love to hear from you.
Take a moment to complete the interest form by April 10th and tell us a little about yourself and your experience.
